Reveal Functional Nutrition
Before you try one more thing, we gotta talk.
Something has changed. Maybe it’s your energy, mood, cycle, or just how you feel in your body.
You’ve researched. You’ve tried supplements, diet changes, sleep hygiene, meditation.
But it all feels so random. “Is any of this making a difference?”
All you know for sure is that you don’t feel like yourself.
Maybe you’ve been told your labs are “normal.” But no one’s looked beyond the basics.
Before you try one more thing, let’s look at the Whole Picture.
The Whole Picture Panel isn’t another stack of lab results to figure out on your own. It’s finally having the data and expert insight to connect what’s happening in your body with how you’re feeling, so you know where to focus first.
It goes beyond basic bloodwork to investigate nutrients, thyroid function, blood sugar and metabolic health, inflammation, and hormones.
Comprehensive bloodwork → Expert insight → Personalized priorities
Get My Whole Picture Panel · $555Somehow, figuring out your health feels like a full-time job.
Some days it’s the exhaustion and brain fog. Other days it’s anxiety, bloating, irritability, or a body that just won’t cooperate. And sometimes it’s all of it at once.
You never quite know which version of yourself is going to show up… or when you’ll be canceling plans and putting goals on hold again.
“This can’t be my new normal.”
Meanwhile, you’re still showing up for work, family, and everyone counting on you. It’s just taking more out of you than it used to.
So you start playing detective. Tracking symptoms. Researching. Bringing questions to appointments.
And the more you search, the more questions pile up:
â—ŹWhy am I so tired, foggy, or reactive when my labs look fine?
â—ŹIs it my hormones?
●Does my diagnosis explain this—or is something else going on?
â—ŹCould this be perimenopause?
â—ŹIs this supplement making a difference?
â—ŹWhat am I missing?
And after all that digging, you’re still the one left trying to figure out how any of it fits together.
“The more I researched on my own, the more confused I became by the countless options. I couldn’t decide where to start or what might work best for me. … Working with Mandy, I felt supported and empowered to understand what was really going on in my body.”
— Brittany
● ─── ● ─── ●
Your symptoms don’t happen in isolation. Neither should your investigation.
Here’s what often happens:
Fatigue and brain fog?
You’re just stressed.
Mood swings getting worse?
That’s expected with PMDD.
Weight creeping up?
Well, that’s perimenopause for ya!
And just like that, each symptom gets its own explanation.
But our bodies don’t operate in neatly separated boxes.
So why are we treating them that way?
Hormones don’t operate in a vacuum. Neither do your thyroid, metabolism, nutrient status, or inflammation. And the brain isn’t separate from the body.
For example:
â—ŹYou can be entering perimenopause and have a thyroid issue.
â—ŹYou can have PMDD and nutrient insufficiencies.
â—ŹYou can have histamine intolerance and gut issues that make it worse.
â—ŹÂ What often gets missed
These issues don’t just coexist. They amplify each other.
Knowing that is the difference between chasing five different symptoms with five different fixes and understanding where to focus your efforts so you can start getting your life back, step by step.
The Reveal Difference
Each symptom shouldn’t send you down another rabbit hole.
Your body’s systems aren’t separate conversations. They’re constantly talking to each other.
That’s exactly why The Whole Picture Panel looks beyond one diagnosis or body system.
No required labels here.
Maybe you’ve had the standard labs at your annual physical, or a few extra tests for a specific symptom. But has anyone looked across these areas together?
The Whole Picture Panel pairs comprehensive bloodwork with a personalized review that does exactly that.
We’re not just checking what’s high or low, or treating every flagged number like another problem to fix.
We’re investigating the patterns that matter most for how you feel every day, so you can stop chasing symptoms and make changes that actually make a difference.
“I had been down so many dead-end paths, had so many false starts and made no progress. … All of this new knowledge has helped me to feel more in control of my health and my life!”
— Jenna
Your Whole Picture
So what are we testing?
Six interconnected areas of health, looked at together.
01
Nutrients
The building blocks of how you feel
What it can feel like
You wake up tired no matter how much you sleep. You’re forgetting words, losing more hair in the shower, getting headaches, or feeling completely drained by the afternoon. Maybe you’re eating well but still wondering what you’re missing.
Why it matters
Nutrients fuel everything from energy production and brain chemistry to thyroid function and hormonal health. But there’s a Goldilocks principle: too little or too much of certain nutrients can create problems. And your levels aren’t just about what you’re eating. Absorption, inflammation, and menstrual loss matter, too.
What we test: Nutrients
02
Hormones
The signals behind your cycle, mood & skin
What it can feel like
Your periods are getting heavier, shorter, longer, or less predictable. Your mood shifts throughout the month, your breasts swell, your skin is breaking out, or you’re waking up sweating.
Why it matters
Hormones communicate with your brain, thyroid, and metabolic systems. Changes in reproductive signaling and androgen levels can provide useful clues, especially when considered alongside your symptoms and cycle timing. Sometimes you’re sensitive to normal hormonal shifts. Other times, changes in hormone levels add fuel to the fire. And both can be happening.
What we test: Hormones
03
Thyroid
The pace-setter for your whole body
What it can feel like
You’re freezing when everyone else is fine. Energy is a limited resource. Your hair is thinning, your weight is creeping up, you’re constipated, or your brain feels like it’s moving through molasses.
Why it matters
Your thyroid plays a role in metabolism, energy, mood, and the menstrual cycle. And thyroid function is like a sensitive teenager. It reacts to everything from nutrients to inflammation and immune activity to hormones. That’s why we look beyond TSH alone.
What we test: Thyroid
04
Blood Sugar
The balancing act behind energy, cravings & mood
What it can feel like
You’re fine until you’re suddenly hangry, shaky, or about to bite someone’s head off. Or you crash after meals, crave sweets, or feel like you’re constantly thinking about food. Meanwhile, your weight isn’t responding the way it used to.
Why it matters
Blood sugar and insulin influence more than your diabetes risk. They affect energy, appetite, mood, and hormone health. Looking at glucose, insulin, and longer-term metabolic patterns together can reveal information that one blood sugar reading misses.
What we test: Blood Sugar
05
Inflammation
The slow burn with whole-body impact
What it can feel like
Your joints ache, you feel puffy or swollen, or your body seems to react to everything. Maybe you’re getting sick more often, taking longer to bounce back, or dealing with skin and digestive flare-ups that seem to happen together.
Why it matters
Inflammation doesn’t stay neatly contained to one body system. It impacts everything and intersects with metabolism, digestion, nutrients, and fatty acids. These markers give us clues about inflammatory activity and whether something deserves a closer look.
What we test: Inflammation
06
Essentials
The basics that shouldn’t be overlooked
What it can feel like
You’re tired, dizzy, easily winded, or just feeling off in ways you can’t quite explain. Sometimes the symptoms don’t fit neatly into any one category.
Why it matters
Your blood cells, electrolytes, kidney and liver function, and protein levels provide essential context for understanding the rest of your labs. Sometimes key clues are found in these foundational markers, especially when we look at them alongside your other results.
What we test: Essentials
Client Case Study
This is what connecting the dots actually looks like.
A single lab result can offer an important clue. But the bigger story emerges when we look at the whole picture—and what that means for how you feel and what to do about it.
Here’s what that looked like for one of my clients.
She was doing everything “right.” But her body didn’t care.
Whole foods. Protein at every meal. Consistent exercise. Even HRV tracking.
And yet she was exhausted, cold all the time, and ovulation was MIA.
She felt like she was shooting in the dark, trying harder and harder, with nothing to show for it.
But there was more to investigate.
Her bloodwork revealed:
â—ŹÂ Thyroid
Her thyroid was begging for help.
TSH was elevated, a signal that the brain was working harder to stimulate thyroid output. A real clue behind her fatigue. Finally.
â—ŹÂ Hormones
Her menstrual cycle went offline.
Prolactin was elevated too. The same brain pathways that increase TSH can increase prolactin. Both can mess with ovulation.
â—ŹÂ Nutrients
She was running on empty. Literally.
Iron, ferritin, magnesium, zinc, and vitamin D were all low. These nutrients are essential for thyroid, ovulation signaling, mood, and energy.
â—ŹÂ Inflammation
Inflammation turned up the volume.
Her hs-CRP was elevated. Inflammation doesn’t stay in its lane—it can interfere with thyroid, hormones, mood, and how cells use nutrients.
None of this was random.
It was connected.
â—ŹÂ The takeaway
This was a body conserving precious energy. That’s adaptation, not a failure. She didn’t need to try harder, eat cleaner, or reduce stress. She needed to rebuild nutrient reserves, tame the inflammatory fire, and fuel her body so her brain and ovaries could communicate again, giving her cycle (and her life) a chance to get back on track.
Meet Mandy
I know my way around a lab report. But I also know what it’s like to be on the other side of one, still searching for answers.
Hi, I’m Mandy Rother, a functional dietitian and founder of Reveal Functional Nutrition.
I’ve spent nearly two decades navigating my own PMDD, PMOS (formerly PCOS), digestive issues, anxiety, and depression. I know firsthand how frustrating it is when your symptoms don’t fit neatly into one box.
That experience has shaped how I practice. Today, my team and I work with people navigating PMDD, perimenopause, PMOS, and complex combinations of hormonal, digestive, metabolic, and mental health concerns.
With 17+ years of experience, I’ve reviewed thousands of lab reports and trained national teams of dietitians in how to interpret them.
And one thing I’ve learned? The most important finding isn’t always the numbers highlighted in red.
It’s the patterns across body systems and what those connections mean for how you feel walking this earth every day.
That’s why I created The Whole Picture Panel. Before you chase another symptom, try another supplement, or change your diet again, I want you to know where to focus—and why.
You’re more than a collection of numbers to fix.
And you need more than a wellness to-do list a mile long.
Let’s figure out how the pieces fit together, so what you do next leads you back to you.
— Mandy Rother, RDN, FMNS
